Short answer: there is no single worldwide price. The US practices below publish examples of US$ 15,000–25,000 and US$ 25,000–50,000+, while a separately identified premium practice lists substantially higher prices. The UK examples are from £38,500 and from £100,000 for different face-and-neck surgery offerings. In my practice in Londrina, the reference is US$ 14,700 for a deep plane face and neck lift without facial fat grafting, or US$ 17,000 with facial fat grafting (R$ 73,500 and R$ 85,000 at an illustrative R$ 5.00 per US$ 1), both for payment in full upfront with the maximum discount. These are specific providers’ published prices, not national averages or a guarantee of what your own surgery will cost.
One of the questions I hear most often — from patients here in Brazil and abroad — is why deep plane facelift prices differ so much. A useful answer has to identify the surgeon, the procedure and what the quote includes. For this update, I checked prices published by individual practices and a hospital group, and clarified my own reference prices in Brazilian reais, with the payment condition stated alongside them.
The first catch: surgeon’s fee is not total cost
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons’ facelift cost page, checked on September 8, 2026, cites an average of US$ 11,395. It explicitly excludes anesthesia, operating-room facilities and other related expenses. It also refers to facelift surgery generally, not specifically to the deep plane technique. I therefore keep it as a separate reference, rather than treating it as the total cost of a deep plane facelift in 2026.
A surgeon-only fee, a surgical package and a complete travel budget measure different things. Before comparing two amounts, ask: which procedures are included, who provides the anesthesia, where will I be operated on, and which follow-up expenses are covered?
Deep plane facelift prices: published examples by country
Sources checked September 8, 2026. I kept each source’s currency and its distinction between a starting price, a range and an individual procedure fee. This is a small, nonrepresentative selection of public prices, not a statistical survey, a ranking or an endorsement of the providers. The operations and packages differ; confirm the exact scope in a written quote.
| Country and provider | Published price | Scope and limits |
|---|---|---|
| US — Atlanta Élevé Plastic Surgery |
US$ 15,000–25,000 | Clinic’s published deep plane estimate; its explanation considers facility and anesthesia fees, extent and additional treatments. Confirm the complete itemization. |
| US — Newport Beach / Beverly Hills Dr. Rami Batniji |
US$ 25,000–50,000+ | Case-dependent deep plane range. Anesthesia and additional treatments affect cost; the page does not establish one identical package for every patient. |
| US — San Diego, premium example Dr. Amir Karam |
US$ 95,000 (women) US$ 120,000 (men) |
The consultation form lists these prices for the branded Vertical Restore procedure; facial fat transfer is separately listed at US$ 40,000. Confirm the full package with the practice. |
| UK — London Mr. William Townley |
From £38,500 | Deep plane facelift and neck lift. The fee guide includes surgeon, anesthetist where applicable, and private hospital costs. Initial consultation is separate. |
| UK — London, premium example Dr. Dominic Bray |
From £100,000 | Signature extended deep plane face and neck lift. Published inclusions cover anesthesia, facility and an overnight nursed stay; additional procedures are separately priced. |
| Turkey — hospital-group guide Acıbadem International |
€4,550–9,100 | Indicative deep plane range in its September 3, 2026 guide; anesthesia, hospital nights and follow-up are described as included. Hotel and transfers depend on the package. A named surgeon’s quote is still needed. |
| Mexico — Puebla Dr. Arístides Arellano |
From approximately MXN 80,000 | Published deep plane package. Despite the “all-inclusive” label, the page excludes hospital and anesthetist fees when performed in a hospital theatre. Consultation and travel are separate. |
| Brazil — my practice in Londrina Dr. Walter Zamarian Jr. |
US$ 14,700 without facial fat grafting US$ 17,000 with facial fat grafting |
My practice’s references for payment in full upfront with the maximum discount: R$ 73,500 and R$ 85,000 converted at an illustrative R$ 5.00 per US$ 1. The dollar equivalent varies with exchange rates. Surgical inclusions are explained below. These are not Brazilian averages. |
The premium examples illustrate how widely published prices can differ between practices in the same country. They do not establish what most patients pay. Likewise, a lower starting price does not tell you whether another quote includes more procedures, more hospital care or a different anesthesia arrangement.
My deep plane facelift reference prices in Brazil
For my practice in Londrina, the following references were updated on September 8, 2026. Both apply to payment in full upfront with the maximum discount:
- Deep plane face and neck lift without facial fat grafting: R$ 73,500.
- Deep plane face and neck lift with facial fat grafting: R$ 85,000.
For the standard lifting case, the surgical price covers the operation, anesthesia team, facility and routine follow-up visits. Blepharoplasty, brow elevation and lip lift are included within the lifting when indicated. Facial fat grafting is included in the R$ 85,000 reference and excluded from the R$ 73,500 reference. Consultation and travel expenses are separate. The final plan and itemized quote are determined in consultation.
For international patients: at an illustrative exchange rate of R$ 5.00 per US$ 1, these upfront-payment references are approximately US$ 14,700 without facial fat grafting and US$ 17,000 with facial fat grafting. This is a calculation example, not today’s exchange rate or a fixed US-dollar quote. If one dollar buys more reais, the dollar equivalent falls, provided the reais price stays the same. Confirm the exchange rate, payment terms and any conversion fees in your written quote.
The same procedure distinction appears in my Portuguese guide to deep plane facelift costs in Brazil. My DEEPPLANE profile also carries pricing information for the lifting and its optional add-ons. Facial fat grafting is the US$ 2,300 add-on, bringing the combined reference to US$ 17,000 at the illustrative exchange rate above. I explain the consultation and quotation process further in how much a deep plane facelift costs in Brazil.
Why directory country bands are not national statistics
DEEPPLANE’s methodology says that only 28 of its 1,410 listed profiles displayed a fee at the time of this check, and that it applies a US$ 10,000 minimum listing price. A directory’s coverage and its editorial pricing bands are not a representative survey of what patients actually pay. I therefore use attributed provider examples and identify my own practice’s references separately.
Why can a Turkish quote cost less than a US quote?
The Acıbadem guide illustrates a lower published price, but one provider cannot establish a country-wide discount. The comparison depends on the exchange rate, surgical scope, hospital and anesthesia arrangements, and what is bundled with travel. I would compare a named surgeon’s itemized quote before assuming that two packages buy the same care.
A BAAPS retrospective study published in 2026 analysed 198 reported complication cases from September 2022 to September 2024; 76% had surgery in Turkey. The registry does not provide the total number of people operated on in each country. It therefore cannot calculate an individual traveller’s risk, compare national safety or establish the risk of a deep plane facelift.
The 2023 joint statement from BAAPS and the Turkish plastic surgery society recommends checking the surgeon’s name, qualifications, contact details and aftercare plan. Verify these directly; neither a low nor a high price establishes that they are in place.
What does it actually cost to come to Londrina for surgery?
Since I regularly operate on patients from the United States and Europe, here is the travel budget I discuss in the online consultation: a 15-day stay using the article’s historical August 2026 estimates. Fifteen days is the minimum in my facelift protocol (explained on my international patients page), but some patients need longer. Travel clearance depends on examination and recovery.
| Item (15 days) | Typical range | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Flight US East Coast ↔ São Paulo | US$ 820 – 1,070 | Round-trip economy; November tends to be cheaper |
| Flight London ↔ São Paulo | £590 – 670 | Round-trip economy |
| Domestic leg to Londrina | short flight from São Paulo | varies; excluded from the total below |
| Business-standard hotel in Londrina | R$ 300 – 370/night (≈ R$ 4,500 – 5,500 total) | Comfortable, near the clinic |
| Meals | ≈ R$ 165/day (≈ R$ 2,500 total) | Mid-range restaurants |
| Brazil eVisa (US citizens) | US$ 80.90 | For eligible US nationals, the Brazilian Consulate in Chicago lists US$80.90 and ten-year validity. Check other nationalities, medical travel and dual citizenship individually |
| Travel insurance with medical cover | US$ 24 – 190 | Depending on coverage |
Using the article’s original August 2026 assumptions (R$ 4.85/US$), the listed 15-day travel items total roughly US$ 2,400–3,000 from the US, before the domestic flight to Londrina. These historical estimates are separate from surgery and consultation; recheck flights, accommodation, entry requirements and insurance before booking. Do not assume that a standard travel policy covers planned cosmetic surgery or its complications.
Travelling to Londrina: accommodation, transport and personal support
We can begin with an online consultation before you arrange your trip to Londrina. An in-person preoperative consultation is still required; when the first consultation was online, that preoperative visit has no additional consultation fee.
My team provides accommodation guidance in Londrina, including hotel or Airbnb options. Accommodation is booked and paid for separately. We can recommend a trusted driver and a companion or caregiver. The driver and companion/caregiver are available to hire separately, at an additional cost.
During your stay in Londrina, you have support with dressing care and frequent in-person follow-up appointments with me. After you return home, we continue online follow-up until one year after your surgery.
Before booking, confirm the accommodation location, transport to appointments and companion requirements with my team. Your length of stay and clearance to travel depend on an in-person assessment and your individual recovery.
The CDC recommends planning care for complications and obtaining your medical records before returning home. Seek local emergency care for shortness of breath or chest pain without waiting for WhatsApp; new one-sided leg pain or swelling also requires urgent assessment.
Questions I’m always asked about cost
Is a facelift in Brazil cheaper than in the US?
At the illustrative exchange rate above, my upfront-payment references are lower than several US examples, but the reference with facial fat grafting also falls within one of the published US ranges. That is why I would not promise a fixed percentage saving or describe one country as uniformly cheaper. Compare the same procedures, surgical inclusions and follow-up arrangements, then add your travel budget.
Why is a consultation still needed if you publish reference prices?
A published reference helps you plan, but it cannot determine the operation you need. More than 90% of my surgeries today are deep plane facelifts with fat grafting; even within that focus, anatomy and the surgical plan differ. My R$ 73,500 reference without facial fat grafting and R$ 85,000 reference with facial fat grafting both assume payment in full upfront with the maximum discount. In consultation, I confirm what is indicated, what is included and the final quote and currency terms.
What should I demand to see included in a quote?
At minimum: the fees of the entire team (surgeon, anesthesiologist, assistants), hospital costs, materials, and the follow-up visits. In my quotes all of that is included — and routine follow-ups are never billed separately. If a quote doesn’t itemize these, comparing it with another is impossible.
Is it worth traveling to save money on facial surgery?
Price can be one factor alongside the indication, surgeon’s qualifications, risks and follow-up arrangements. The British cases cited cannot predict your outcome or compare countries. Before booking, establish who can examine and treat you if a complication develops during the trip or after you return home.
